Professor Joe? Biden Accepts Positions At Two Top Universities

Would having Uncle Joe in your 10:00am lecture get you out of bed?

Former Vice President and internet darling Joe Biden just announced that he’s accepted positions at both the University of Delaware (his alma mater) and the University of Pennsylvania.

“Every day of my career in public service has been motivated by the desire to ensure that every American is treated with dignity and gets a fair shot," Biden proclaimed in a statement. "I am happy to continue that work at my alma mater, a place that is stamped on my heart."

The two universities will be splitting Biden’s time. On the one hand, the ex-VP will serve as the founding chair for the University of Delaware’s Biden Institute. That institution will emphasize domestic policy, with a focus on civil rights, criminal justice, and women’s rights.

Meanwhile, UPenn has declared Biden their Benjamin Franklin presidential practice professor, as well as naming him head of the Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement.

“At Penn, I look forward to building on the work that has been a central pillar of my career in public office: promoting and protecting the post-WWII international order that keeps the United States safe and strong,” Biden said in another statement.

Unfortunately, undergrads shouldn’t get too hopeful about seeing Joe in their classes. According to a spokesperson, “He will not be teaching classes."

Womp womp.
