Former bikini queen and multiple Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl Cheryl Tiegs, 68, doesn’t think Ashley Graham, 28, should have her cake and eat it too.
The 2016 cover girl, Ashley, represents a major change from the mag’s 1964-2015 standard of beauty: she is stunning sporting her size-16 curves!
But not everyone thinks so…
Said Cheryl: “I don't like that we’re talking about full-figured women because it’s glamorizing them because your waist should be smaller than 35". That’s what Dr. Oz said, and I'm sticking to it,” she told E! News in a recent interview. “I don't think it’s healthy.”
But Cheryl did “go there” with that old left-handed compliment, “But her face is beautiful.” Really?!
Prior to Cheryl's size-slam, Ashley did an interview with Entertainment Tonight saying, “The things that I don’t necessarily like [are] all the negative stigmatisms that go with the word plus size – you’re fat, you’re lazy, you have no drive, no determination, you’re constantly eating. Honey, I work out. I work out three days a week. I lift. I do barre. I do it all. It’s the stereotypes. That’s what I really don’t like. I am me. Take it or leave it.”
We’ll take it! Go, Ashley – you’re beautiful from head to toe.
