We lost another legend: rock and roll badass Chuck Berry just passed away at the age of 90.

No one in the music world denies Berry’s influence; the hitmaker had been churning out songs since the ‘50s – before even Elvis had a hit – and was still working on new material at the time of his death.

The celebrity tributes have come in from every corner of the industry, with Mick Jagger leading the charge with an especially emotional remembrance:

But if you really want to remember Berry, than you’ve got to spend some time with his music. Here are a few of the biggest hits to come out of a positively epic career:

Maybellene

Berry's first hit came in 1955 and instantly grabbed audiences for simply being unlike anything they'd ever heard before.

My Ding-a-Ling

Yes, it's a penis joke. But only a legend like Berry could turn toilet humor into a #1 Billboard hit.

Roll Over Beethoven

Coming out just a year after his first big hit, it was literally about his sister hogging the piano growing up.

Rock and Roll Music

Berry wrote in his autobiography that this track's lyrics were meant to define rock & roll. If anyone was qualified to take on that task, it was him.

Johnny B. Goode

The classic that truly launched him to stardom. Even if you aren't a mega-fan of Berry's, you'll remember this track being covered in Back to the Future.
