Tamar Braxton has been speaking out more on her troubled relationship with Vincent Herbert and her decision to leave him, and she doesn't need a TV camera or a scheduled interview to do so.
theGrio reports that in between songs during her performance Sunday at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina, Braxton addressed the crowd and let her fans know that she's putting herself and her well-being first.
"What I also do not have time for is being with someone who does not appreciate me," she told the audience. "I love the man. I truly, surely do. But let me tell you something: I ain’t finna waste my time with somebody who think my time is not valuable."
Braxton was performing alongside Xscape as part of the recently reunited girl group's The Great Xscape Tour.
Some people on Instagram commended the 40-year-old signer for being brave and sharing the very private details of her marriage with her fans, with one excited fan writing: "Halleluuuuuuuuu..... Tay say she's RECLAIMING HER TIME"
Still, others weren't as impressed: "her set was depressing and fake AF," one commenter wrote.
Braxton previously addressed the split on Instagram in a lengthy caption about doing what she could to keep her family together, admitting that she has decided ultimately that she "didn’t want to be married for the sake of saying so."
"I wanted to have a relationship," she explained. "Someone to share my/our dreams, our successes, our failures, our past, present & future with."
Regardless of what people think, it looks like Braxton is trying to live her best life and be happy, so good for her.
