Diddy, who pretty much goes by any name now of days, is always out and about with one of his many celebrity cronies and in turn, never misses an opportunity for a photo. However, when it comes to posting photos, the hip-hop-mogul is notorious for cropping other people out!
Remember that infamous picture from the Met Gala? The one where he cut Kendall and Kylie Jenner out of the picture he took with Migos, Jaden Smith, and a few others? In a recent appearance on Ellen, Diddy explained why what's been dubbed the #DiddyCrop even happened in the first place.
“Sometimes my photography editor...he doesn’t let me know when he’s taking people out of the pictures.”
So basically, Diddy is saying he has a photographer who edits his photos before he puts them on Instagram and doesn’t get the final approval before the entire universe seems them. Interesting approach, we must say!
During the show, Ellen also referenced a photo from the Grammys this year where Hip-Hop Artist Fabolous and French Montana were cropped out, but Kendrick Lamar and Jay-Z managed to make cut.
He justified that particular crop to Ellen, stating that one of the young people that worked for him wanted a picture of just the three of them. Diddy explained, "So he used his social technology skills and that's what he did. There were people that were taken away that didn’t deserve to be taken away.” What a shame — it’s always the poor intern that gets the blame.
Also, Diddy mentioned that as a result of the #DiddyCrop, his friends haven't been speaking to him for the last two weeks! Hopefully, they'll come around and they'll all be sipping on some Cîroc in the near future.
