PLANNED PARENTHOOD ATTACKER TURNS BLACK FRIDAY LITERAL
Many wonder what ran through the mind of Robert Dear, the gunman who calmly walked to a Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood and shot up the building killing three and injuring nine. Of those killed was Officer Garrett Swasey.
Robert Dear held up the offices for five hours before he was apprehended by Colorado Police. Of the survivors, two witness provided firsthand accounts of what happened.
Planned Parenthood has been under fire and the subject of political debate all year; with a failed attempt to defund the program this past summer. The national healthcare provider prides itself on being the only of its kind to provide affordable reproductive services to women. However, this isn't the first attack on a Planned Parenthood office. Three known attempts were made in 2009, 2013 and earlier this year. Although there are several theories behind why this specific location was targeted, nothing has been confirmed.
Do you believe the attack was warranted or just another in-house form of terrorism? Weigh in and let us know.
